I was searching through my files today for material for an article I am writing and came across the following words I had written in September 2004 which I would like to share with you. Somehow the words felt very relevant as we approach the New Moon.

From out of the depths what comes? From out of the very depths of the Earth and the very depths of her glorious kingdoms what has stirred and is moving to the surface?
What is driving this slow & ever-pulsing eruption which is now reaching its zenith?
The process continues until all is revealed. what was on the surface is no more, replaced & renewed by something from deep down within. Something which appears to have the same shape & yet feels very different, cleansed, renewed, light, whole, bright & glowing like the glowing lava which arises from deep down within the Earth Mother’s body & which slowly cools & creates a new crust on which her kingdoms slowly build. Sometimes when the conduit remains open to the centre of her core, the fire continues to push up continually replacing & renewing the old with the new.
A birthing process which maybe knows no end; the cradle of creativity with its process of continual renewal & re-formation, ever changing. New forms & ideas pushing to the surface to be expressed, some for a brief time only before being reformed and reshaped. A regenerative process burning away the dross of the old until only the new material remains which can then be fashioned into new shapes, ideas, structures with no pattern of the old remaining within except the briefest flicker of a memory from time to time.
At the heart of the diamond is the generator which continues to renew over & over with new material feeding up from the very core, restructuring, renewing within the perfect shape of the diamond which rings out its ever present form in the same way as a bell when struck will reverberate its note out into the world. The diamond, the diadem containing the merged qualities of Earth & Sky, self & Self, personality & soul, Above & Below - how many ways it can be expressed.
